My Education
I am a graduating senior at the Pennsylvania State University majoring in public relations with a certification in event planning & management. My coursework has focused on public relations tactics and campaigns, advertising, advanced news writing, hospitality marketing, tourism systems, feature writing, effective public speaking and event design. I hope to utilize my education in the fashion and entertainment industries as an upcoming professional
VALLEY Magazine
As Web Director of VALLEY Magazine, Penn State's premier life & style publication and the 25th most-read college publication in the country, I am tasked with selecting weekly pitches from a staff of over 30 writers, scheduling content, editing weekly articles, updating our website, coordinating with our public relations staff to promote web content in addition to writing my own print and web articles. Prior to my role as Web Director, I served as VALLEY's Beauty & Health Editor for one year, where I edited weekly articles about hair, makeup, skincare and fitness.
My Internships
I have been fortunate enough to have four internships throughout my college career, my first being a public relations internship at The Rose Agency, a startup PR agency based in Miami, Florida. I was a social media intern at Spear Travel Group, where I worked on copy for soical media posts, scheduling posts, branding packages and copy for the group's newest website, Better Together Travel. I regularly attended meetings with both our web developer and our marketing team.
I was also a social media intern at REVERB, where I was tasked with social media takeovers, contacting potential collaborators, curating playlists for special events, researching for campaigns and aided in on-site coordination for Lollapalooza 2021, Harry Styles' Love on Tour and Billie Eilish's Happier Than Ever tour. Most recently, I am an intern at AfterBuzz TV and Better Together with Maria Menounos, where I am tasked with sourcing and creating content for all social platforms, writing memos for guests, edit episodes and write two articles per week.
